Just had a feeling.

I am a little surprised Max Askren won, good for him. The kid from Boise is tough as nails too.

Lance Palmer can't take Metcalf down. I think that was the difference. He's a great defensive wrestler but he can never seem to get his offense going on his feet with Metcalf. One thing that amazed me was when Metcalf got in on Palmer in the third period and he whizzered and hipped out of it. Holy cow I though Metcalf had two points for sure on that. Two great wrestlers, a pleasure to watch them both.

Half the team makes the finals. 1 a redshirt freshman. The other a Soph. And that Cornell kid gassed at the end against Marion. That won't be forgotten. The point. Iowa will be better next year.

Metcalf and Borschel are tough to replace. Dennis is a senior right? They always seem to replace great wrestlers with other great wrestlers though, I have no doubt you're right or close to it.
