1. Thanks
I'll try to tune in, at least for a little while. Btw, is Patrick Kaine playing for team USA? He's having a good year for the Blackhawks.

3. So far they have their hands full, with the Swiss.
But they should win. Although the Swiss did beat the Canadians in the 2006 Olympics.

7. U.S. goalies ordered to remove slogans
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- U.S. goaltenders Ryan Miller and Jonathan Quick have to cover or remove some words from their helmets that are in violation of International Olympic Committee rules.

Miller had "Miller Time" on the back of his helmet on Monday during practice and Jonathan Quick's helmet has "Support Our Troops" adorned on his mask.

Szymon Szemberg, spokesman for the International Ice Hockey Federation, confirmed both players will be told to take those messages off their equipment because it's the governing bodies' task to enforce IOC rule No. 51 that bars advertising, demonstrations and propaganda.

"We're going to meet with USA Hockey tonight to see what their thoughts are," said Bob Condron, spokesman for the U.S. Olympic Committee. "We don't know if it's a federation or a USOC situation."

The Americans will play their first game of the Olympics on Tuesday against Switzerland.

10. This was a whole shitstorm on the blogs earlier; no "political" slogans or
advertisements on helmets. I totally support this. "Miller Time" I guess is Ryan Miller's slogan but the graphic looks just like the Miller High Life beer slogan. Jon Quick had "Support Our Troops" on his helmet. I don't even know what that's supposed to mean anymore, but it's obviously a political statement. Why is it always the Americans that embarrass themselves in teh Olympics (remember Charles Barkley kicking the photographer on the sidelines)? Whatev

Cograts to Canada in their convincing 8-0 victory over Norway. Iginla scored the hat trick and my Sharks were also well represented on the scorecard. Thornton, Heatley, Marleau and Dan Boyle all skated on the same line and produced 6 points (Heatley 2G, Boyle 2A, Marleau and Thornton 1A each). Way to go guys!

11. Link?
For Barkley kicking a photographer on the sidelines. You may be confused with Rodman who tripped over a cameraman then kicked him but that wasn't the Olympics but for the Bulls in a NBA game against the T-Wolves. If not I need a link because I have not heard of that, I know Barkley elbowed a player in an Olympic game that was controversial but that is a far cry from kicking a photographer on the sidelines.

12. Those two events may have fused in my brain.
I don't have a link. It is probably as you say. But I remember Barkley doing something stupid in the olympics....maybe talked trash about another country.
