2. hm, ESPN has Notre Dame at 21
their ratings are apparently different, but still, they always seem to be in the top 25 classes. Let's see how Kelley does with this class.

3. Not bad
Arizona State is #35 with 5 4 star recruits. Though for any of these teams we won't know how good the recruiting classes really are until 2 or 3 years from now.

5. Good year for the SEC & Pac 10.
Rough year for the Big 10 and Big East. Someone sent me this list, which if true, does not bode well AT ALL for the Big 10......

BIG 10
5 stars - 1
4 stars - 38
3 stars - 151

SEC
5 stars - 11
4 stars - 105
3 stars - 152

6. Now (12:06 AM) they have moved USC to No.1
and Florida No.2. That is strange considering Florida has several more 4-star & 3-star recruits, and the 5-star difference is only 5-4.

8. Auburn Tigers
Really a pleasant surprise to see how well Gene Chizik and his staff recruited this year, during their first full year on the Plains. A lot of the Tigers needs (and especially lack of depth) were addressed and hopefully the new recruits will be good students and productive athletes over the next 4-5 years.

As Chizik said yesterday, this first full class is a solid foundation on which to keep building. I hope he's correct and keeps the program on an upward trajectory.

War Eagle!

10. This whole "Signing Day" hoopola bothers the phuck out of me...
...I mean, now there really is no pretense that maybe, just maybe some of these kids might be trying to get an education...college has become the NFL's farm system.

11. Right you are, joey.
Signing day has become a Hallmark day strictly because of the efforts of eSECpn. And, wow. What a fucking surprise. The SEC had a HUGE haul. Just a crock of utter shit. Half of the great 150 prima donnas will flunk out, quit or worse. Like the stupid fuck Henderson who won't commit to USC until he hears what the penalties are. Fuck you, buddy. I hope you blow out your knee first practice. Pompous fuck.

13. What kind of crap is that?
Hoping Seantrel Henderson blows out his knee? That just ain't right...

If I were to say that about a potential Iowa recruit, or anyone going to the Big Ten, you'd be all up in arms..

19. Upton. What a phony you are. None bigger.
This fuckstick and his DAD knew what they we're getting into. BTW. He looked hard at Iowa. Don't want him. We'll be all right without a jackoff like this.

20. You're right about his dad
he appears to be a real problem....but Henderson is ranked as one of the top recruits in the nation, certainly the top OL..sometimes accommodations need to be made.

So, are you telling me that if he suddenly reversed course and decided to attend Iowa, Ferentz would say no?

15. Yup, ESPN has hastened the downfall of the college student-athlete...
...and part of the SEC doesn't need to play anyone outside their own conference myth.

16. Education in this country is going downhill fast anyway...
...no need to give these kids another reason not to learn anything...they'll apparently make more money if they don't get an education.

21. I think they should just get rid of the "student-athlete" charade...
...on the top division level and make these kids employees of the university. That's actually what they are anyway. If they want an education, then they can enroll at cut-rate prices like a lot of schools offer their employees and immediate family.

I'm tired seeing stated majors like "exercise science" and "human movement studies." Alabama's Terrance Cody recently told reporters he only had a few hours left before graduation and then when pressed further, couldn't recall his major.

It would certainly be a hell of a lot more honest. Let's face it, most of these kids are only going this route because they see NFL dollars in their future. And the schools don't really care if these "students" really learn anything, just that they retain eligibility.

Right now, it's the modern equivalent of a plantation system.
