God has yet to make a decision on Kurt Warner's retirement
Brenda Warner -- the most quotable wife in the NFL -- has said the decision is between "Kurt and God." What does that mean, exactly?
"It means I pray that God takes away the desire in me to play this game," he says. "I've loved it for so long. I need Him to take that away from me, so that I can be comfortable with this decision."

3. Dear Mr Warner
I have placed into you and the rest of the human race the ability to choose. It is called Free Will, so please stop dumping this on me and make a decision. GOD

9. Lots of people "on the stage" don't get derision.
Because they're not idiots.

5. Incredible.
Why does he stay? I wondered that early in the season when he was having more neurological problems (vision disturbances, as I recall) and again just the other day when he took a hard hit and was motionless for a few minutes.

Is it really worth shortening your life to play a game? Is it?

This isn't having faith in God...it's showing a basic lack of common sense, which must have been knocked out of him at some point.

7. It's time for this wacko to go - god has a new improved replacement for him

Fanatical christian tim tebow, who will appear in a homophobic super bowl ad with his mommy, and apparently once spent his spring vacation circumcising poor kids in the Philipines.

He makes Kurt Warner look like an atheist.

13. I don't know what TIm Tebow does in his personal time
but I don't think Kurt Warner is anything really close to what he is. Through the week he spends his time feeding the homeless and doing significant work special needs children. Also every time when they go out to eat they randomly pick up someone's tab.

There is a reason why he wins the NFL "Man of the Year" award and it's not because of "god", in fact many athletes mention a relationship with god. This was probably the first time he really says anything about god since maybe the NFC Championship game of last year. I read the local news nearly every day and watch the Cardinals press conference every week where Kurt speaks every week.

14. He said his in-laws died because they had forsaken God by not going to church that day
They were killed in a tornado. That's enough for me.

15. Not quite
Edited on Thu Jan-21-10 02:09 PM by JonLP24
In his book he says Brenda's mom had a headache so her parents decided to skip the baptism. He goes on to say in a freak incident two tornadoes hit their house. He mentioned the church wasn't hit by any tornado so if they were at the church they wouldn't of been hit, he doesn't say god punished them with a tornado for missing church. In fact he doesn't even say the word 'god' in the passage.

Now who knows if he would write the same kind of passage if they planned on going to the grocery store but he doesn't say god killed them because they didn't go to church. He's just saying they would have been spared if they were somewhere they planned on going like a grocery store but in this case they planned on going to church but Brenda's mom had a headache.

16. So he makes a commercial for Focus on the Family
One of the most hateful, bigoted, anti-gay, misogynist "Christian" organizations on the planet.

Screw Tim Tebow and the self-righteous high horse he rode in on.

8. Punchline from an old joke,,,,
Man stranded on rooftop during a flood, declines a life jacket, a boat, and a helicopter
Man dies and meets God
Man says I was waiting to hear from you!
God says Look, I sent a life jaket, a boat AND a helicopter!

Warner is waiting to hear from God
God has given him untold concussions
God had a NO Saint FLATTEN Warner after an interception

Warner also has a wife who an probably clean his clock if she really wanted to

BUT he wants to hear from GOD?

It's not that unusual up there. There is significant rainfall in the Phoenix area this week.

12. Yes, but they're not the Phoenix Cardinals
and if a boat comes floating down the riverbed with hippos, giraffes, etc., on it, Kurt's a goner. :P
