Running up the score with under a minute to go and not even shedding the slightest glimpse of a smile when he got the obligatory gatorade bath when the game was locked up. Not a very likeable guy IMO.
11. Well except that he then missed the PAT. But that's not the point.
The point is that you can hardly call it "running out the clock" when you go and do something that keeps the game going even longer when the victory is already sealed (like how scoring a TD requires you to then kick a point after and then kick off to the other team). That's called running up the score, and Saban deserves to be called out for it.
13. They ran it when it was absolutely and entirely unnecessary.
And when they were only a few yards out of the end zone and knew it wouldn't take much to get a TD. Be proud of your team, celebrate the win, but don't pretend that they were simply running out the clock when they could have done so much quicker by taking a knee or two.
