Christ!! I'll say it - the Saints are damned good

The offensive firepower is just amazing. Yes, they have played down to "lesser" opponents, but have still managed to win. The weapons, and the fantastic playcalling, equals an incredible team. And yes, I believe Brees is an elite quarterback. Any doubts for me were erased last night.

Keep the home field advantage, and the Saints are in the big game. I don't think the Vikings have the weapons to compete.

And as a Cowboy fan, I'm shaking in my boots. In a few weeks, Dallas will travel to the dome to play the Saints. It will get ugly, I'm afraid.

As always, sports are unpredictable--but I don't see anything that makes me think a Vikings-Saints contest is a foregone conclusion.

Back when Favre played for the Packners I conceded that he was a first ballot Hall of Famer--but his wild-ass gunslinging leading to countless interceptions made me say he didn't even belong in the "greatest of all time" conversation. If Favre would've played like this all those years in Eastern WI, maybe I wouldn't have ruled him out. Shit is different this year. Could he revert to form? It's always a possibility, but I just don'tsee any reason to think so.

8. He has a stellar running game and a vicious defense

Which is exactly what he had when he went to two straight Super Bowls. That doesn't diminish what he brought to the team, but when he's put in a position where he thinks he has to do it all, he starts throwing to the wrong team and making bonehead decisions.

As much as has been made about the Saints offense, its defense has been equally impressive, if unsung. Their backup secondary plays better than the starters for most teams, and if a Vikings defense can't quiet Brees down, Favre will do what he's always done when he starts trying to win games by himself - lose.

IF the Vikings and Saints meet in the playoffs AND the Saints get a lead going, well, then perhaps the desperate gunslinger of old may show up and start hiting guys wearing bronze colored helmets.

I think it'd be a helluva game to watch.

I believe is the Falcons at Atlanta. The Who Dat fans will be out in force when the Cowboys come to town and their noise is a great 12th man. Its amazing how well they did against the Pats considering two of their defensive backs weren't on the team two weeks before the game.

Although, the teams that tend to take down the undefeated squads sometimes are nobodies, like when the Giants beat the Broncos back in the mid-1990s. Or how Indy almost lost this past weekend.

I'm hoping for 18-0 Saints playing the 18-0 Colts in the Super Bowl. Holy fucking shit.

When they're firing on all cylinders, they can be pretty competitive.

After watching that game last night, though, you gotta wonder what their odds will be.

The Deadskins are a team that might be the ones that trip up the Saints, if the Saints are looking ahead to the playoffs.
