1. Roethlisberger's numbers were better as a freshman
3,105 yds, 21 TD, 2 INT, 8.1 YPA 63.3% Completion percentage.

2. Did Ben play for a 1-10 team??
BTW, I went to school with Zac's uncles and aunts. Yeah, a family name where I grew up.

3. 7-5 in 2002
What do you want me to say?

I just looked at the numbers and Ben has most of the MAC passing records in just 3 years of play. I don't know if he is the next "Big Ben" or not.

4. They have a lot of work to do there. The head coach is also in his first year.
We'll see what happens.

5. Best of luck to him
I didn't say he wouldn't be, I just used Ben Roethlisberger's fresh numbers as a comparison.

6. Yeah.
He's a long shot, but he actually looked pretty good when he actually had a chance to play tonight. It was senior night, so he didn't play the last half of the fourth quarter, plus their defense sucks.

7. Playing from behind constantly usually hurts a QB's numbers
He still has plenty of time to develop his game and starting as a freshman is a good sign. What he does to develop his game in the off season will make all the difference in the world.
