NBA Season begins today!!
Edited on Tue Oct-27-09 08:46 PM by JonLP24
Well some games alraedy started like Celtics-Cavs which I'm watching now.

My picks Celtics-Lakers barring any long term injuries to key players.

:woohoo:

1. And in other basketball news...
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Former-Celtics-star-Antoine-Walker-is-broke-and-;_ylt=AnBq87lf.23ZwrRFEvQLcfi8vLYF?urn=nba,198509

In 12 years, Antoine Walker made more than $110 million playing professional basketball moderately well. Take away taxes, throw in some adidas endorsement money and a "NBA Live 99" cover, and he's left with, what, $60-to-65 million?

Whatever the details, it was a big chunk of change, which, amazingly, wasn't enough.

That's right, during the last several months, the once multi-millionaire athlete has been pursued by multiple financial institutions for unpaid debts.

In fact, according to The Boston Globe, "Employee No. 8" owes more than $4 million to his creditors and is facing felony check fraud charges in Las Vegas. All of this at the age of 33. Wild.

Looking good so far for the Celtics, but there's still a lot of time left.

2. I think it will be tough three way in the East
Celtics, Magic, and Cavaliers. Those 3 teams made some moves in the off season to really help their chances. Out of the West I don't see anyone other than the Lakers but it's a long season and a million things can happen.

My favorite teams are Pacers-Suns but Basketball is one of those Sports I enjoy watching more than I do rooting for a certain team.

5. I used to enjoy watching the Suns
until Mike D'Antoni left. Their style of play changed completely last year...dull, just like everybody else.

Though Steve Nash remains my favorite player in the NBA.

6. I completely agree
D'Antoni made me excited about Suns basketball for the first time since the Kevin Johnson years. I wasn't very happy about losing Marion for Shaq. Not that Shaq wasn't a bad player but because he really slowed down the fast break that made the Suns so effective. It all went down hill from there.

3. Go Warriors!
Hopefully this season is such a disaster that Chris Cohan finally sells! Go Dubs!

4. They had a good run couple years ago
They lost some good players though so I'm not sure how they will do. They have a young team and I enjoyed watching Stephen Curry a lot in College Basketball so I hope he'll adjust well in the pros.

8. trust me
they are not going to have a good year and someway Curry will be upset and desperate to leave. They have been young the last 15 years and the result is always the same. Our management is one of the worst in sports and they are responsible why that whole playoff team was dismantled in only 2 years. It really is very depressing.

7. The NBA Has Games In 9 Months Out Of A Calendar Year
There are only 3 months, July, August, Sept. when there are no NBA games.

9. Was a good game.
It already looks as if the Celtics helped themselves more with the offseason moves than the Cavs did. Shaq slows down Cleveland's fast break, while Sheed opens up the floor for the Celts. I know it's early, but the Celts' bench looks pretty damn good. Looking forward to a fun season.

10. Eddie House is the man
Highest scoring player in Arizona State basketball history. Scored 61 points in double overtime against Cal.

11. I like Eddie
Hell, I like all the Celts. Well, except possibly for Pagliuca. He's an OK owner, but US Senator? :puke:
