Can Iowa run the table and finish 12-0??
They have left:

Indiana (win)
Northwestern (win)
at Ohio State (loss - depends on which Terrell Pryor shows up)
Minnesota (win)

The only challenge will be to win in Columbus.

1. They certainly seem to have the mojo going right now. PS: Sparty, the prevent doesn't work, ask
Tressel.

2. We all hope so
But...winning in Columbus has been nearly impossible for the Hawks throughout the years and in the last ten years or so, Northwestern has been a thorn in the side of Iowa. So we certainly are not counting our Hawks before they are hatched.

Yeah, Iowa has had a rough time again the Buckeyes, especially in Columbus.

7. I know
And it's doubtful that Ferentz will let the Hawks get too arrogant opr whatever, but the fact remains that Northwestern has been a thorn in the side for a long time. So hopefully, Iowa can get past the Wildcats and all others. Go Hawks!

And they're in the driver's seat at the moment. A win in Columbus would be tough but OSU has shown they're not invincible this year.

6. We Big 10ers have to stand together
For our conference and because we represent states that are losing so many organized labor jobs...to the south and overseas. A friend of mine works for the UAW national office and the amount of union busting that goes on in the Asian important plants in the south is unbelievable.

The Big Ten, unions, and upper Midwest will rise again!

9. Yes, the real question is
Is that enough for them to get a NCG birth, with their schedule it should be, but Texas believes their cupcake schedule somehow makes them better... wouldn't it be nice if they had the NCG in Green Bay or Pittsburgh some year so we could stop hearing about how bad the Big 10 is in bowl games and start hearing about how bad the SEC is.

14. Even if they go undefeated
And to think this team almost lost to Northern Iowa. Even if they go undefeated, they wouldn't get a nod over an undefeated SEC and Big XII team (which would be Texas). But then again, they may not even get the nod over a one-loss SEC team and an undefeated Texas.

Who says there will be an undefeated SEC or Big 12 team.

Of course the national media is pushing for the Jesus conference to win again.

16. The Big Ten haters whole thesis is two games. Two fucking games.
Ohio State-Florida and Ohio State-LSU. Really one. The former. After that debacle, the national media piled on and the Big Ten hasn't recovered. Man. Bobby Stoops is lucky. His absolute TWO horrible showings in the championship game pales in comparison to the heat the Big Ten has taken. And it won't be forgiven until the Big Ten wins the big one, again. So why not Iowa. We've got some big shoulders. We'll give it a shot.. Long way to go. Until then, one fucking game at a time. Indiana. Saturday. Every game is a BIG challenge now, mad. We got the bullseye on our backs. Tell you what, though. Some of the best times of my whole life the last eight weeks. What a ride!

17. I'm happy for you Condem
The 1996 Rose Bowl season was the best time of my life as a Sports fan. Arizona State went 11-0 and was ranked #2 in the nation. However it was a Big 10 team that gave them their first loss -- Ohio State. Joe Germaine (Mesa High graduate - click my profile I live in Mesa) hit David Boston with the game winning pass with 19 seconds left and my heart went into pieces. It was a great run though. :)

18. Tell you what, Jon.
Pity the fuckers who expect this shit year in and year out. We live by two and three star athletes who want IT a little more. We tried the four and five star players the last couple of years. Fucking attitudes. Expect everything handed to them. And that comes from the current Iowa players mouths. That element is gone. A team, again. We might not run the table. But us fans can be damned proud of this team. Which is more important?

19. Lovable losers...
Don't get me started. The previous couple of years with blue-chippers have been just a wreck for the Hawks. I don't know if it's the weather or the overall rural quality of the state, but the rock stars are such a bad fit out here. Even last year, there was a sense that I would drag myself to games rather than be up at 4:00 am waiting for kick-off.

These rural midwestern kids who just want to get out on the field on Saturday. Just to play...they'll break your heart. Winning out and being undefeated would be a gift, but the true gift is to watch young men who play for the love of the game. Seeing them get the Disney movie ending would be fabulous.

20. Thank you Condem! I have been saying this forever. The shine may have dulled on Tressel but
how come the national boys dont go after Stoops? He's lost his last four(?) bowl games? He lost to Boise State. By the way Saban and the Tide lost to Utah. UTAH

People also forget that Jesus-Tebow lost to Michigan just two years ago. Auburn lost to Whisky two years in a row not too long ago.

What the Big Ten needs is more quality coaches (I'm looking at you Zook) top to bottom and some bowl wins and we are right back in this, because we have the fans, and the top five schools travel well, which is a large draw for the bowl sponsors.

No problem, about knocking you out of National Title contention!

Nothing quite like the winged helmets. I was quite pleased when they stopped putting those little stickers all over them. That was a Buckeye tradition; I didn't care for it. Good riddance!

Have your underachieving Bucks got you down? Yeah. You may beat us. Because your at the "Shoe". That would be the only reason. You need to switch allegiances. The SEC is always looking for an asshole like you. And the funny thing....from a fan of the school who gave the Big Ten a bad name in the first place. With apologies to good fans of OSU like the Capt. and mad. Hey, Botany. We'll enjoy the ride. No matter what happens. Despite fucking holes like you.

44. My point is this, Botany. It's simple.
Coming from Upton..well, I can expect that. But the mere mention of another Big Ten team getting "spanked" in the NC game by a OSU fan is beyond irony. Sheer stupidity. Now, in all honesty, Botany. I think you'll beat us in the "Shoe". And life will go on. Do I love this shit? Yes, I do. But being a Hawk fan does one thing. It prepares you for life's other, more important, disappointments. At the end of the day, it's a game.

I promise you this, every bowl season, I'm 100% Big 10 all the way. Even as a Buckeye fan, I did a dance when Michigan beat Tebow-Jesus.

Obviously I'm rooting for the Scarlet and Gray, but if we lose to the Hawkeyes, I will be rooting for them to go all the way to the Rose Bowl or the BCS championship game. I would be pleased as punch to see good things happen for Ferenz and the Big 10 overall.
