2. As much as that call was bullshit...

When you take a 3-1 lead into the bottom of the 9th, you gotta close it out.

When you load the bases in extra innings with NO OUTS, you gotta plate a run or two.

Yeah, I yelled at the TV like every other Twinkies fan. But that play only matters cause the Twins didn't get it done when they had plenty of other opportunities to close it out.

Also, Phil Cuzzi needs to be kept far, far away from the baseball field if he can't make the only call he has to make the whole night.

3. I turned on the TV right after that, but did I understand correctly that the Twins batter

should have had a GR double, but ended up with a single on a later pitch? So he probably would have scored on the subsequent base hit?

Mistakes are part of the game, and great teams overcome the unfairnesses (as we all recognize when it isn't actually our own team getting hosed), but that's a pretty royal screwup...

4. I think the umpires in this post season are really making a case

for instant replay. I know the Twins had their chances, and this wasn't a "game winner" but how do you blow this call?
