Cain unaffected by unintentional hitting of Wright
One good thing came out of today's frustrating 2-1 10 inning loss to the Reds...Matt Cain, in giving up but 1 ER in 8 innings, did not appear to be distracted by the memory of the unintentionally beaning of David Wright in his previous start.

As Matt said.."You can't think about that"

Good news indeed for Giants fans..

1. Cain pitched a gem, but the Giants still lost.

Better man up at the plate -- Rockies are next.

3. They should have won today
11 hits and only 1 run and even that scored on a WP. They had a runner on third and less than 2 outs in both the 7th and 8th innings, 2 more on in the 9th...all 3 times came up empty.

Their hitting is terrible..27th in runs scored, 29th in HRs, dead last in OBP. I'd like to think things are going to turn around at the plate, but I don't see much reason for optimism.

5. Mr Control Pitcher has beaned Wright two times thus far.
And Wright has a .444 average against Cain.

Oh, and it's not like you're gloating over that act has been swept under the rug, Pigboy.

7. Nothing's been swept under the rug

everyone, and I mean EVERYONE...Wright, Cain, the Mets, the Giants, MLB, all agree that the incident was unintentional.

Nothing more need be said...except it might be a nice idea if you stopped acting like an old woman.

On Edit: I'd like to apologize to old women everywhere for comparing them to inthebrain.

10. The "Swept under the rug" comment was about your gloating over the beaning
Apparently your illiteracy won't be swept under the rug either.

Douche.

11. If you knew anything about sports
you would know that sometimes pitchers involved in similar incidents are at times adversely affected..making them afraid to pitch inside etc. In fact, right after he hit Wright, Cain altered his approach to hitters, as he was clearly upset by the whole affair.

Anyway, it was good to see Matt back to his old self yesterday...I'm sure you'll join me in wishing both players the best of luck in putting this unfortunate accident far behind them.

12. Yup, Cain is all ready to bean someone else again.
Thankfully, I don't think he's scheduled for the Rockies series.

14. Yeah, Cain's not scheduled to pitch
in the series. Too bad too, because one of the unintended consequences of the accidental beaning is that hitters aren't going to be digging in and getting comfortable at the plate against Cain.

15. Based on what you just said, it sure sounds intentional.

17. Sure, keep trying to convince yourself of that
when actually the only thing Matt is going to "get" when he returns to Citi Field, is a welcome from the many great Giants fans that reside in the NY area...

You seem to have some sort of delusional disorder... I find it most entertaining.
