2. The Cubs finally scored some runs.
The previous 2 games yielded 2 runs in 22 innings. Cubs are bunched up with 3 other teams in the NL Central. I still think they will win it.

3. Had to happen at some point.
It was a disappointing game, but a great run while it lasted. We'll see if we can start another streak beginning tomorrow against the Padres!

4. Winning streaks like that are so rare.
All you can do is enjoy the ride until it's over. :)

5. The nice thing is that they really do make a difference in the season
I think the Cubbies are far from finished and will pull off a simialar streak. Probably 6-7 games here and there. There are a lot of teams that can really jump up in the standings provided they get hot. The Marlins are my dark horse this season.

8. Looks like Halladay is off the table
No one is giving Toronto what they want. Don't think Philly needs him though. What they were asking was freaking insane anyways.

9. They Were NEVER Going To Trade Roy
No way. This was all theater. They wouldn't have traded him unless Babe Ruth in his prime was part of the deal. GAC

10. 9 days to the deadline.
Nothing is off the table. Toronto's scouts are watching Drabek's start tonight.

11. Yahoo story saying that he's off the table
Well, looks like they took it down. It was up late last night and early this morning. Unless it was somewhere else. They were saying no one was interested in paying such a price.

The sports talk shows are going non-stop Halladay here. Eagles training camp starts next week and they are only mentioned on 25% of the calls. This used to be an Eagles dominated market year round as recently as last summer.
