San Jose at the Draft "Why even go to Montreal if you're just going to mail it in?"
HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

From Puckdaddy

"San Jose Sharks: Winners? Losers? Who even knows? They drafted some kid from Alaska. And it was a reach. Why even go to Montreal if you're just going to mail it in?"

2. Your season lasted six games longer than the team finishing dead last in the league
Furthermore, they embarassed themselves at the draft.

Oh, I thought I'd throw this in there for good measure;

What We Learned: Garth Snow is a genius; draft winners, losers

And then of course something funny happened: he started making prudent decisions. He signed Viktor Kozlov(notes) to a one-year deal for less than a million dollars (he scored 25 goals and 51 points that year), offloaded some terrible contracts and traded for Ryan Smyth(notes) to help push the Isles into the playoffs. For this, Sports Illustrated named him the 2006-07 NHL Executive of the Year and everyone out in Nassau was very pleased with themselves.

In other words, Garth Snow on 08 pulls of a coup at the draft and wins rave reviews from everyone invloved. In 06/07 wins Sports Illustrated's Exec of the year.

This season also wins rave reviews for a brilliant draft.

Oh, and what did they do with the San Jose Fish's 26th pick? They used it to draft a D who's a lock to make Canada WJC team.

Sam Jose Fish.....Idiots at the draft table and chokers in the playoffs.

4. Not my fault that the Sharks blew the draft
and a Presidents Trophy winning season in six games in the post season.
