Tommy Barnett's 'Genuineness' Inspires Pastors
Phoenix preacher has shaped thousands of churches and ministers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tommy Barnett has inspired grass-roots evangelism like no other church leader in America, but he's too busy caring for lost people to keep track of his success.
Arguably the most influential preacher in America today, Barnett is considered by thousands of other pastors as their own pastor, according to a profile in the March issue of "Charisma" magazine, out today. Barnett's ideas have radically changed how charismatic churches and ministers -- from T.D. Jakes to Jim Bakker -- carry out ministry.

Pastor of the 15,000-strong Phoenix First Assembly of God in Arizona, Barnett and men he has trained lead three of the largest churches in the Assemblies of God. Barnett founded the Dream Center in Los Angeles -- a massive inner-city social ministry and church, which espouses a "find a need and fill it" approach -- and inspired the opening of almost 200 more similar centers nationwide and in Europe.

A major figure on the religious right; on the list of the Council for a National Policy in 84 (right think tank)

Dream Centers are a major ministry around the world.
