16 million in US have road rage due to chemical problem in their
brain, this is no doubt caused by genes. This type of mental illness goes hand in hand with other problems like anorexia, addictive behavior, white supremacy, wanting to control other people and I suspect belief in Gods. The survey that proved the unfortunate reality of these 16 million should of ask "Do you believe in Gods?" of the responders to see if it too is connected. IMO These endless faith arguments can be somewhat substantiated by this method. Where currently it's pretty positive for an individual to say "I believe in Gods." If believing became connected to genetic mental trouble the quantity of pretentious believers would drop very quickly. Nirvana for me would be if Atheism and sanity eventually became connected.

really are -- you godless heathen. (smile -- great post and I couldn't agree with you more regarding believers in the supernatural and rage)

4. Say what?
Somehow I doubt it very much since a large percentage of the population believes in God(s), and not everyone gets road rage. I know an atheist who gets it very bad. I've seen him drive on the berm of the road all the way up the road! He's nuts. Or was until they got his meds right.

5. I spite of all of the evidence do you really believe that all of
people like Bush, Jerry Falwell, Hitler, politicians, used car salesman and on and on really believe in anything other than lining their own pocket or grabbing power? Just because someone professes belief proves nothing.

From the rules: With regard to religion (or the lack thereof), Democratic Underground is a diverse community which includes Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, Agnostics, and others. All are welcome here. For this reason, we expect members to make an extra effort to be sensitive to different religious beliefs, and to show respect to members who hold different religious beliefs. Members are welcome to discuss whether they agree or disagree with particular religious beliefs, but they are expected to do so in a relatively sensitive and respectful manner. As a general rule, discussions about ideas are usually permitted, but broad-brush bigoted statements about groups of people — either religious or non-religious — are not. If you are easily offended by discussions about religious beliefs, or if you take pleasure from offending or ridiculing people with different beliefs, or if you consider progressive people with different beliefs to be your enemy or your inferior, do not participate in religious discussions on Democratic Underground.
