3. We have 2 of them
:)

Liked it so much we had to have another one ;)

There are 2 eids, one to celebrate the end of Rammadan (eid al fitr)and one on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Dhul Hajj (eid al ahdar) To commemorate the testing of Abraham when God asked him to sacrifice his son and to mark the end of the Hajj season (which takes place in the first 10 days of the month of Dhul Hajj)

Salaams

4. OH!
Well, aren't you lucky!!! :D I really need to get an education.

We're all agnostics in my family, but we celebrate the Christian holidays in the best secular traditions (Santa, Easter Bunny, etc.). HOWEVER, my son is dating a Muslim girl (young lady), and he also has been enjoying learning more about his Jewish roots (my greatgrandmother was Jewish). SO, he figures he gets to celebrate everyone's holidays! ...I mean how many 23-year-old boys get Hannukah finger puppets in their Christmas stockings???

But I'm having trouble keeping up!

Thanks for the explanation, and I hope you enjoy your festivities!
