Just their monthly newsletter is worth it.

And they fight many court battles on keeping religion out of government!

8. And you object to fee speech because of your RELIGION???
Nice religion you have there!

Is the rest of your life filled with stupid censorship actions, too? Do you refuse to let your children or grandchildren read certain books and magazines? Refuse allow them to go to web site to which you have a religious objection? Or are you just trying your hardest to look like a Republican?

3. I Rec'd it, but it's still at zero.
I'm surprised that any DUers, even religious ones, would want religion in our government.

5. I've observed that even the most liberal of religious people are theocrats at heart...

15. You are not alone in your observation.
It's just a kinder, gentler god that they want us all to obey.

11. You shouldn't have to be an atheist to join.
When I think of "religion" I think of "organized religion" not "personal belief system."

for example, you could believe in god or goddess, and still be anti-religion.

14. No, it is most certainly not a requirement.
Everybody wants freedom from the religions they don't believe in. The Christians who want to post their 10 Commandments in every courthouse and school, I assure you, do not want the Koran read daily.

16. I don't think atheist are the only people who have to gain when it comes to freedom from religion
So it would be nice to see an invitation including more than just atheists.
