Women for Peace

During the month of October/Ramadan let all women for peace wear head scarves to stand in solidarity with the women suffering from our war in Iraq.

Please distribute this message. Make this a world-wide war protest.

1. Just curious -

Is there a women's peace group putting forth this idea, or is it yours?

I like it, but I wonder how it would be perceived by women of that faith. When I was a christian in the '80s I resented the cross being worn by people to whom it meant nothing spiritually.

2. Regarding the scarf

Orthodox Jewish women wear head scarves as well so wearing a scarf. So it cannot be directly attributed to a single faith.

3. I thought of that, too.

When I was studying Judaism I found a website for a store that sold headscarves and had instructions on different ways to wear them. I have a pretty green scar with gold and silver spiral goddesses.

Does Ramadan start on the 5th?
