The Civil Partnership Bill, introduced in June in the Irish D`ail, will recognized same sex couples as partners before the law and will allow them be treated as married couples for tax and social welfare, offer legal protection for shared property and provide for the dissolution of such partnerships in a manner similar to divorce.
