Pope: We should have Googled Holocaust bishop
I thought the Pope was infallible...guess not.

Pope: We should have Googled Holocaust bishop

The Pope has admitted making mistakes over the lifting of the excommunication of a Holocaust-denying bishop, saying the church will make much greater use of the Internet in the future to help avoid such controversies.

In a letter to church leaders, Pope Benedict XVI says the church should have been aware of the views of Bishop Richard Williamson.

"I have been told that consulting the information available on the Internet would have made it possible to perceive the problem early on.

"I have learned the lesson that in the future the Holy See will have to pay greater attention to that source of news."

2. Papal authority
is only infallible when speaking ex-cathedra, which is not a common thing. I think it's been done only in matter of doctrinal issues.

I'm actually happy he's admitting his mistake here.

5. He really didn’t have any choice but to admit his PR blunder.

He pissed so many people off and he couldnt exactly cover this one up, he just didn’t anticipate the international uproar.

6. They don't have eyes and ears wherever they have a presence?
I guess their reach is not as far reaching as it use to be. Personally, I believe the Pope and his representatives are liars.
