HBO and the PIC admit their goof ups. The rev. was set to speak at 2;20, and HBO started at 2;30.
At least it'll be properly repeated.

but the reality is we've only recently started allowing the "libruls" air time.
Before the 90's even the 'progressives' were mild racists, and not that much was done to really combat it actively. They stopped showing blatantly racist things in the 70's, and some TV shows worked to fight racism - which mostly worked - but actively fighting it was left to TV shows, and no other forum.

Maybe we had the fairness doctrine to thank for that. before ray-gun we had forced equality of issues, so if you had a racist asshole on you HAD to have a un-racist on. And we know how brave the klansboys (because REAL men ARE NOT racist) are, hiding behind sheets and all that crap.

Yeah it's total bullshit that warren has such a prominent role, but 'our guy' was on, it was in the news, he was on the youtubes (;)).

The article you link clearly states the following:
" The Presidential Inauguration Committee has stepped up to take the blame for leaving a controversial gay bishop's prayers out of the public broadcast of the concert at the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday."

HBO did not 'goof up' PIC acted with either intention or idiocy, the show was known by all to start at 2:30, they put Robinson on at 2:20. That is not a 'goof up'. Not in my book. Not if anyone on PIC own s a watch, ok?
And PIC takes the blame. HBO does not admit to anything but doing as they were told by PIC. You freely write otherwise, for reasons I can only guess.
Sticking to the actual facts is all I ask. Few seem willing or able to do that.

Folks who can not make a point without making up 'facts' out of the air have no point to make. For a few days now, I've been trying to hold people to the facts. Just the facts. So many claim to know not just the past, but the future. And others, like this one, just make stuff up and report it like news. I find that to be worthy of pointing out.
The way people deal with each other here is getting to be revolting. Nothing is more disrespectful than to be untruthful about important issues.

My understanding is that HBO also tried to do the right thing at the time - by contacting the PIC when it realized the disrepancy in times, but that the PIC didn't respond:

"The producer of the concert has said that the Presidential Inaugural Committee made the decision to keep the invocation as part of the pre-show. Uncertain as to whether or not that meant that HBO was contractually prevented from airing the pre-show, we followed up, but none of the spokespeople available Sunday night could answer that question with absolute certainty.. "

Saying that HBO admits that which is does not admit is in fact a lie. And that is not part of being an honest broker. The lack of regard for the facts at hand and the embrace of untruths or of unknowns as truth is a huge part of the DU problem of late. There is a link, right there. And it does not say HBO admits a 'goof up'. It just does not say that.
