This church is near the intersection of Balboa and Devonshire. Anyone care to join me for Sunday services? It should be very entertaining!

They should have their tax exemption pulled if they rant on in an holy spirit induced trance about voting for Palin/McCant. But I suspect that they will just talk about how to vote. Wink, wink. Can't tell ya who to vote for. Wink wink.

8. Some DUers think you should let this be

Some churches are brazenly breaking the law governing campaigning for political candidates, although other churches oppose this politicking. Personally, I'd think it's legitimate for people who favour separation of church and state, and who believe the law should be upheld, to attend churches which may be flouting the law, in order that they may complain to the IRS. But some DUers think that this is a gross violation of privacy (despite the fact that anyone can attend a church service), and that it hands a precedent to a future conservative theocracy which they could use to destroy liberal churches (like they'd need an excuse!). I guess churches should be above the law, free to campaign for whoever they want while continuing to be subsidised by taxpayers. :sarcasm:
