Ninety-two percent of conservative Protestants believe hell exists.

Hmmmm?

The survey also shows a majority of Americans who claim to be irreligious actually do pray and are not atheists.

Double Hmmmm?

after they found it really hard to find brains among the practioners.

You learn something every day.

20. Vampires, not Zombies.
The Vampires converted. The zombies had to move on to more fertile hunting grounds.

29. Is... is that Vacheslav Molotov?
I recently read about him when I looked up the origin of the term "Molotov Cocktail." (The Finns came up with it during World War Two.) It's startling to see his name twice within the span of a month.

as knowing better because of one's belief, or disbelief is what religion is all about.

12. I've got to get with the program.
If I'm so goddamn smart, why am I so poor? Maybe being scared of myths might help me in the long run. Or maybe if I was evil enough, I could take advantage of these scared people.

It's also entirely possible I'm not very smart at all.

Hmmm.

Whereas if your one of these church jerks, you only have to speak-ah...LIKE-AH...moronnnn-ah, praise jesus, PRAISE JESUS, oh my good lord, PUHRAISSE JESUS-AH, in order to be rich-ah and prosperous-ah. You have built in moron supporters...no need to find your own.

28. The poll question was biased.
The poll question they used was; "Did you know that George W. Bush is the president of the United States?"

All of those who answered 'yes' obviously believed in Hell, at least according to the poll researchers. Most people, including many atheists, felt wrong about arguing against that logic. They just couldn't bring themselves to do it.
