Cathoic DUers: Do you ever say the rosary?
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 09:10 PM by Brigid
I've taken to saying it with Mother Angelica and the nuns in the evening on EWTN. I find it comforting somehow . . .

5. I did back in the day.
I realize you have no star, but with a donation, you would be able to access the Catholic group and possibly find more people to discuss this with.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with it here, but I would imagine that there are a lot of Catholics that wish to discuss their religion that don't come in here because it can be a tough place to hang out.

6. People who are faithful to this devotion are to be admired...
My active brain..can't meditate or contemplate like it should for the rosary..so I do alot of other spiritual reading and meditating...It all helps.

7. Not as much as I like.
It's very meditative, and I often try to do it when I am doing "nothing." It is something that I'd like to do every day, actually.

8. I'm Orthodox, but I do like to pray using my chotke.
It's quite similar--yarn knotted into "beads" in groups of ten or more with beads marking the divisions. The beads are the Our Fathers, and the knots are the Jesus Prayer ("Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me a sinner"). It really helps when I'm stressed.

9. I have it ripped on my iPod
The Fr Grochel (sp) version. As conservative as he is, all but the 4th Joyful (accept everything without question) and 2nd Luminous (God never changes) have very good openings. He wrote it in a spiritual retreat style and you can take lots from the rest of them. It is my 35min relaxation every night.
