1. Excellent article, but it really talks about a LOT more than religion

This is the main part dealing with religion:

The spectacle of our candidates groveling on TV over how religious they are, is appalling.

I would add that a great religious teacher once said that it was by their works that people would know his followers. That same teacher also said to beware of folks who pray publicly and make a great show of their religion. Those wise words are very true today.
