God sends tornado to silence Baptists. (What’s good for the gay is good for the gander).
“Fundie Em! Fundie Em! It’s a Twister!”

Baptist Press reports Tornado damages 4 dorms, chapel at Fla. conference center:

A tornado touched down at Florida Baptists’ Lake Yale Conference Center at 3:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, causing extensive damage to its North Camp area as a series of storms tore across central Florida in the early morning hours.

So why is it that every time a natural disaster hits some place they don’t like, fundies claim that it is God’s wrath for immoral behavior?

But when a similar disaster strikes them, there is no word about God’s retribution?

What’s good for the gay is good for the gander

1. no No NO!
When God attacks Disneyworld or Cape Cod, or some other bastion of bestiality, it is god's will. Revenge for not following our version of his words.

When there is a natural disaster like a baptist church being blown down, either they were the wrong sect ( Nya nya! Told yaw so! ! ! !) or they simply didn't pray hard enough.

there is a difference.

not.

2. Have they hauled out the "We're being tested" meme yet?
God always 'tests' those he really likes...you know like Job, the Jews...wait a minute.

I'm sensing some shaky theological ground here...:hide::yoiks:

4. Is this the church they claim was built to withstand...
...a Force 4 Hurricane? ...and the whole thing got blown away? I asked my wife the same thing... if they believe in "Signs from God" so much... why don't they see this as a "Sign"?

I guess it's only a "Sign" when it happens to someone else...

5. Calling it collateral damage always works doesn't it?
Must have been a gay couple in the area. Probably holding hands or something. God was so mad he just got a little carried away.
