I forget where to post a prayer request. I've got neuro problems apparently
I can't find the prayer forum. sorry, i'm going to bed.

I just got back from the ER and I've had many early symptoms of MS (that my brother has), and I'm tired... They told me they were putting me first thing Monday morning with a neuro at 10am. Not sure why I get first patient treatment, but I'll take it.

I have some tingling, lots of minor spasming in legs, some head pain on the right, under the right rib, blood in stool. most of the time it's not bad (the past 10 days of this), but it gets tiring I can tell...

please pray for me. I pray Jesus will make this not as painful as what my brother faced with his, they were so derrelict in doing the right things for him when he first got (much sicker) ill 2 years ago. I'm a tadddddddd concerned.... I rest my heart in Christ's love for us.

I pray your health is good... good night...

1. I'm not a doctor, but I write about nutrition.
Are you on prescription drugs? If so, you should look them up or ask your pharmacist if they are known to cause the symptoms you are having.

Some conditions such as muscle weakness or Parkinsons (not sure about MS) may be caused by drugs that deplete the body of Co-Enzyme Q10. Supplementing with CoQ10 pills can result in a huge improvement. Certain B vitamins can also be helpful with neurological conditions.

I would recommend going through whatever tests they recommend to make sure there's nothing serious like a tumor, then find a doctor who specializes in nutritional therapies, not just drugs.

Good luck --

4. I'm not the praying sort
but I care.

Your symptoms could mean many things, and they may end up not even all being connected. Of course you are scared now, and you will continue to worry until you get the results of the testing. And at that point, there are three main things that may happen: You get a definite diagnosis that your problem is routine and easily controllable, in which case you rejoice; you get a definite diagnosis of something hard to deal with, in which case you weep; or you get inconclusive results which send you round to the next batch of specialists and tests, in which case you tear out your hair and scream. No matter what comes, the duty of mankind is too carry each other's burdens, so don't go trying to carry it by yourself. We're all here to rejoice with each other, weep with each other, and tear out our hair in frustration right with you.

Sweet dreams.

5. MS Is a Scourge, But
My wife, who has had it for 25 years, told me (before we were married), "People usually die WITH Multiple Sclerosis, not OF Multiple Sclerosis." She also said 90% of MS-diagnosed people never end up in a wheelchair.

My heart goes out to you, and all my family's prayers. Check out the MS Society's website -- lots of information, chat rooms, resources. Action cures fear.

And some day they'll cure this damned disease. God bless.

8. I certainly will
I have MS and while it is a nuisance, there are a lot of worse things that could happen. It is very difficult to diagnose so be prepared for a lot of tests.
I am currently on Avonex and Provigil for the fatigue.

Good luck to you, prayers for you and your brother and your Doctor.
