LABORATORY MANAGER
JOB OPPORTUNITY
JOB TITLE: LABORATORY MANAGER
ORGANIZATION: COOK INLET KEEPER
LOCATION: HOMER, ALASKA

Job Description: Cook Inlet Keeper, a nonprofit watershed-protection organization, is seeking a Laboratory Manager to manage and direct the activities of the Cook Inlet Community Based Water Quality Laboratory, based in Homer, Alaska.

Duties include: supervise laboratory personnel; oversee safety plan; develop and implement water quality policies and procedures; oversee quality assurance/control; develop and administer program budget; responsible for materials and equipment; use a variety of sophisticated laboratory techniques and instrumentation for the analysis of water samples; analyze data; prepare and/or review reports for submittal to clients; keep records; perform related duties as required.

Salary: $30,000 - $40,000 DOE, with health benefits and generous leave package.

Requirements: Minimum three years experience in the analysis of water, wastewater, or other environmental samples in a modern laboratory setting; supervisory or lead level experience desirable; BS or BA degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a closely related field required; MS in related field may substitute for one year experience.
