1. I've only seen Inception and The Kids are All Right...both very good...
but my choice would be The King's Speech because I like to be right.

6. Does "pick" mean what you think the academy will rule as best or what *i* think as best?
If the former, you are probably correct. I chose True Grit because *I* think it's the best, but I am not at all convinced the academy will choose thusly. I also thought it weird they put the female lead in True Grit under "best supporting actress" and not as a lead. She IS the movie.

Maybe because they want to make Benning a shoe-in for lead actress

7. I meant what you thought was the best movie.
I also agree about Hailee Steinfield. She was in pretty much every scene in True Grit. What really blew me away was that the posters for the movie listed the the three male actors above the title, while she was mentioned only in the little print about the bottom. What's up with that?

8. That's not uncommon with child actors
until they reach a certain point of fame... I don't think it's a male/female thing, I think it's an adult established actors vs. child (somewhat) newcomer.

2. Only saw TS3, King's Speech, and Inception.
Inception was overrated and TS3 was terrible (except for big baby). KS was best of the bunch.

3. I thought "Inception" looked great, but the story was
gibberish.

4. You need a "none of the above" option.

5. Would if I could, but polls only allow 10 options. Sorry
:hi:

9. I've only seen 3 of the contenders
Although I loved Toy Story 3, I don't thinks it was 'Best Picture' good. The other 2 I can't decide on. Black Swan and The Kings Speech were both Oscar worthy. Not having seen the others, it's hard to say, but if Colin Firth and Natalie Portman each took home a statue, I certainly wouldn't be disappointed.
