"Two and a Half Men" crew gets 3 month "partially compensated" vacation while Sheen is in rehab
So much for "he's not hurting anyone, he shows up and does his job."

And no, I'm not suggesting that he shouldn't get help. I'm saying that the meme all along has been "it's his life, his business," and now it's the business of 300 or so people who were depending on a paycheck they're not going to get.

Charlie Sheen -- Rehab for Three Months

1/31/2011 1:00 AM PST by TMZ Staff

Charlie Sheen will be in rehab for the next three months, derailing the next eight episodes of "Two and a Half Men" ... and possibly leaving the show's crew SOL.

Sources connected with the show tell TMZ the crew is grumbling ... worried they will be the financial casualties of Charlie's problem. There are 300 people associated with the show, many of whom are nervous about not getting a paycheck.

Sources say when production was halted last February while Charlie was in rehab, the crew was "partially compensated."

We're told the studio hasn't decided what to do this time around -- whether the staff will be fully or partially compensated. A decision is expected soon.

2. They shoot this show next to the building I work in.
One of their crew members ran our football pool. The crew of this show hasn't worked in months...and now they are off for three more months??

Fuck you, Charlie Sheen.

3. Giving a damn about others, doesn't appear to be in Charlie's
makeup... While drug and alcohol addiction can certainly be an "illness," his other rampant vices speak to mere narcissism, IMO.

Ironic, isn't it, given father, Martin's long activism for the public good.

6. Yep...that's where I was going with this one...
...it's two...probably more...issues, with addiction only being one of them. The second is that yes, it's his life, but the network's response all along is "what do you expect us to do...he shows up on time and does his job," and now he won't be doing that, and neither will any of the 300 people who also work at his place of employment.

Also, take a look at this:

Sheen: Critics Are "Turds"

Charlie Sheen exchanged text messages with a senior editor at RadarOnline in his first statements since it was announced he was going to rehab after what allegedly was partying for days with several porn stars and a "briefcase" of cocaine. "I'm fine," Sheen wrote. "People don't seem to get it. … Guy can't have a great time and do his job also?" He then characterized his critics as a "bunch of turds." The defiant statements raise questions about whether he really entered rehab voluntarily, as had been announced in an earlier statement.

5. So, Charlie's going to compensate the crew
out of his own pocket. Right?

7. Or maybe they can each take a toot from his briefcase full of coke...
...it's the Lindsay Lohan thing all over again. He's already been given chance after chance after chance and walks away every time without a scratch. That's "celebrity justice" for you.

8. That show sucks anyway.
I'm sympathetic to Charlie's coworkers, but I think it's time that show was cancelled. It's repetitive and it just isn't funny, much like Charlie Sheen's life.

9. I feel for all the people that relied on that show to feed their families
One wonders how these crew members feel about Sheen.

10. What kind of writers do they have that they can't write around him?
Charlie has gone on vacation, ergo no Charlie. Jon Cryer is good enough to carry this on his own, just write to compensate for Sheen out. Hope they don't take him back, he's a lousy co-worker.

11. For one or two episodes that may be easy...
but eight? That's about a third of a season. That would be tough to do.

12. Maybe use some filming that was edited earlier to show snippets of him, while the main theme is
the other characters -might work - worth a try to keep people gainfully employed.
