"I can say with almost certainty that this is my final five years on radio..."
I don't believe this for a single fucking minute. Five years from now Sirius will dangle another mother-huge paycheck under his snout and he'll be making the same statement.

Howard Stern: 5 More Years with Sirius

12/9/2010 12:35 AM PST by TMZ Staff

Howard Stern is sticking with Sirius.

With only four more days on his existing contract after this morning's show, Stern announced he'll stay on his Sirius/XM radio station for another 5 years -- and after that, he's done.

"I have come to the conclusion that the real innovators, the real geniuses are the people here at Sirius," said Stern, adding "I can say with almost certainty that this is my final five years on radio."

He didn't disclose how much he'd be getting from his new deal, except to say it was "very fair."

Stern also said the contract statuses of Howard's staff, which includes Robin Quivers, Fred Norris and Baba Booey are all still pending.

2. I believe it. I REALLY only expected him to sign up for 3 more years and then "retire"
so I'm sure 5 more years has got to be it. He'll still do *something* in radio but he wont' be on more than once a week after this five years is up. He's really been sick of it for awhile.
