Live Action Movie Review - Blood: The Last Vampire
Country of origin: Japan

Year: 2009

Genre: Action

Story: A vampire girl is obsessed with slaying a demon who killed her loved ones. She hooks up with a secret government agency which hunts and kills demons, and then goes undercover as a student in a high school which is suspected to have demonic activity.

Acting: Not very good, average for an action flick.

Humor: I don't recall laughing.

Violence: Sword fights and guns. Nothing graphic.

Sex: None.

Overall: I liked the animated movie much more than this movie. This live action version is a little cheesier, and not as concise as the cartoon. I almost bought this movie blind at my local video store because I love the cartoon version, but I am glad I rented this first. This movie is fun, but not awesome.

Side Note: Shonen Knife makes an appearance in this movie.

2. I agree. Watching her run around with her sword was a very enjoyable aspect of the movie. nt
