She's back together with Chris Brown. What kind of message does this send to young women and men? That it's ok to beat a woman, she'll still be there for you. I was hoping she'd stay away from him for her own sake as well as for the benefit of all her young fans.

1. I think people should live their lives without worrying about what
message they are sending. Her personal life is none of her fans business. Just my opinion.

18. I usually feel that way - but I've seen the destruction of domestic violence firsthand
(not to myself but to two good friends in my lifetime) and so this time I feel differently. She had a wonderful opportunity to take a stand and maybe be a role model to young women trying to get the courage to leave an abusive relationship and that opportunity is wasted.

4. I guess after she gave him her
pes, they both figured they were better off with each other.

I mean, what do you do to someone who gives you herpes? You shouldn't beat them, but its hard to blame a person if they do.

21. No. My post was not gender specific.
If a man gives herpes to a woman, then I expect her to cut his balls off. She shouldn't, but I will understand if she does.

Do you get it now?

5. Oh, whatever.
I get the thing about battered women.

However, for me, the work of improving my own self and my own life keeps me too busy to worry about some other grown woman's personal choices.

8. I'm more worried about the message she's sending to herself.
As in, "I don't care about you. Take another chance, go ahead. Maybe he'll kill you next time. Then everyone can wring their hands and say 'Oh no, why didn't we see this coming?'"

9. Maybe it's just a deal brokered by her camp and his.

He improves his image, gets his endorsements back, all potential legal offenses are smoothed over. Her camp makes lots of money, or otherwise profits. Eventually, they part gracefully. When two big moneymakers are involved, these things are usually "handled" by agents and record companies.

11. Why are we talking about the message SHE'S sending?
Why do we always do that? We immediately jump to the messages the representative of the most oppressed group is sending, instead of focusing on the message the oppressor is sending. I'd rather talk about the message Chris Brown is sending about heterosexual relationships.

13. I'm of two minds.
First, I can't endorse her returning to a man who hit her. A man who said he loved her. I quit my job after my boss hit me on the arm and told me I was misinterpreting what it meant. And we weren't in love. I needed the job but had to leave when he hit me.

Second, it's her life and my opinion means nothing. OTOH, I suspect it will be hard to garner sympathy when it happens again, and it will happen again.

14. She's a pop star. She's not running for office.
Entertainers are ordinary people who have extraordinary talents in an area of entertainment. They are no more capable of controlling their emotions than any other person, and expecting them to be anything other than a 21 year old pop star is unrealistic.

I don't endorse anyone hitting anyone else in a relationship, but I also don't endorse acting as if we know exactly what happened with these two.

Whatever, it's her business what she does and she has no duty to anyone but herself.

My personal opinion about this is that she might be be in love.. But should know better.. Anyone who have a clue about this thing know that if a man hit you once, you can be hit again, and again and again and again.. It is disgusting to se, as a man. To se that she are going back to a man who would more possible than never hit again if he got into more trouble.. To be in a bad relationship is plain bad if you ask me..

I understand that she is in love, and love is making blind. But they who are around her, should ask them self, and her why she want to be with a man who are hitting her?.. Why in the world would she have that possibility that he could hit her again?.. This is not looking good for her if you ask me.. I know it is much money involved for both, but I would have given here the advice to leave as fast as possible.. I know it is not easy to leave when you still love a person. But sometimes it is the only option if the other part are abusive and at the look at it, is more than possible that mr Brown will hit again, when enraged..

She is young, and would have a lot of other boys to play with if she wanted.. She might even find a decent man, who are not abusive, and who are treating her as the lady she indeed are... She deserve far better than mr Brown..
