Anyone Else See Persepolis?

My wife and I saw it last night. Wonderful animated movie about how Iran went from bad to much worse as seen through the (true) story of a girl who grew up during the awful transformation.

Once again it struck me head-on how badly we need Obama (or at least what I think Obama is) as our next president. We need to stop the horrific politics of supplying both sides of the Iran/Iraq war with arms, of attacking Sudanese aspirin factories for political theater, and so forth. We need to work towards working together as best we can, rather than destroying the weak for political gain.

1. Persepolis was great, and was robbed of the Best Animated Feature Oscar

Now, Ratatouille was a good movie and just great computer animation, but Persepolis (hand-drawn cells, btw) was better in terms of story and the use of animation to convey moods, images and feelings.

Can you imagine what sort of place Iran might be today if it weren't for the US intervention with the Shah?
