6. Don't tell me that you're questioning their historical accuracy?
Say it ain't so!

7. Ha! I've got an even more shallow reason than that...
I'm a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce and don't like William Wallace, etc. getting all the screen time!!!

8. No shit? That's awesome!
Still doesn't explain your casual dismissal of that acclaimed documentary Highlander, though!

9. A retired Marine colonel I know just loved Highlander...
he said whenever trouble starts, "guys just seem to pull swords out of their asses..."

Keep the faith - it's ALL good!

12. LOL
When I was in high school, I owned a (totally fake except for the size) katana and a trenchcoat.

Naturally, I tried to see how well I could conceal the katana on my person while wearing the coat.

The answer? Not very. In fact, it was about as unsuccessful as you'd likely imagine.

There's no way you sit in the Garden for hours watching pro-wrestling with a katana in your pocket.

2. Scotland - The Story Of A Nation by Magnus Magnusson
Edited on Sun Oct-25-09 08:08 AM by imdjh
Very well written. Debunks a lot of Scottish "history" and explains most events in the context of what is going on elsewhere in the world. My only objection is that the book refers to my own noble family as "bandits". :)

Can be read from cover to cover or as a pick up book, but is indexed so it can be used as a reference book.

11. If it's for research, I'd heavily rely on the library.
They can dig up a lot.
