Which book would you recommend about Che Guevara?

I would like a good biography to read on vacation. I don't know much about Che and saw several titles at the bookstore. Any suggestions?

PS - the illusionists like to portray him as some sort of romantic hero but he was NEVER that.

Anyway, it was the diaryy he kept on that operation which proved to be his last.

Called the Final Diaries, or the Diary of Che G.. or something like that.

It was very interesting. and a very short easy read.

5. Che Gueverra: A Revolutionary Life

A very extensive biography, from childhood until death, with a lot of sources. Before reading it all I knew of him was as an image on t-shirts and posters. Very informative.

I was also pretty clueless going in & learned a great amount (remembering it is another story!) I really like the author - Jon Lee Anderson - too. He did some great reporting from Afghanistan & Iraq (some for the New Yorker which is possibly still online), plus his book on the WACL is very well regarded (though I haven't read it).
