I just discovered him. I have read "With" and "The Cockroaches of Stay More" and was totally charmed. I plan to go back to his first book and read everything chronologically.
I'm surprised I never heard of him before, especially as I tend to favor Southern writers.
He doesn't quite rank up there with Welty and Faulkner, but I'm so enjoying his work.
