Especially if you're interested in Pompeii.

I like the way he wove historical fact and fiction together in a believable way.

I've been thinking about getting an audio book lately, just to have one on my iPod for dog walks. I've never downloaded those before because I wasn't sure if they were abridged or not. Do you have any idea?

2. No, but I've listened to tons of them from the library. Usually they say if they're abridged.nt

3. Go to audible.com
they clearly label which are abridged and which aren't. I think you can actually filter out the abridged ones if you want, too.

6. I read it in '05 after visiting Pompeii
Very good historic novel and I liked all the stuff about aqueducts and volcanology.
