Ralph Nader's New Book
I just started reading his new novel, "Only the Super Rich Can Save Us." It's a VERY big book. Wanted to know if it is worth reading. There are so many books and so little time.:)

4. The US Supreme W. Court gave us the chimp..
Gore won Florida. The corrupt court stopped the vote counting.

Anyone who meets the requirements should be allowed to run for president.

6. The Supreme Court gave us Bush.
Thanks for continuing the lie that allows one of the country's most treasonable acts to go unchallenged.

From Vincent Bugliosi:

None Dare Call It Treason

In the December 12 ruling by the US Supreme Court handing the election to George Bush, the Court committed the unpardonable sin of being a knowing surrogate for the Republican Party instead of being an impartial arbiter of the law

Nader, much as I'm sure he smiles at the power falsely attributed to him by people who seem to not want to expose the real perpetrators of that crime for some reason, had nothing to do with Bush's disastrous appointment to the presidency. Gore won that election, or did you forget?

9. Really
was he right about things having to get worse before they get better.

Tell that to the 3000 dead American Soldiers and the thousands of dead Iraqis.

Fuck Nader!

10. WTF?! Nader didn't invade Iraq.
According to what you posted, Nader was correct.

I guess we haven't bottomed out yet, so our re-hab will likely fail.

11. Tell it to the Supremes. Nader was against the illegal
invasion of Iraq and it was the Supremes who stole the election from Gore. Rewriting history doesn't change any of the facts surrounding that criminal decision to appoint a president.

I always wonder about those who tell the lie that Nader was responsible for a loss that never happened since Gore did win. What is the motive for attempting to exonerate the criminal, treasonous actions of the USSC? Why try to cover up that crime with this lame and ridiculous claim that a single man had the power to steal the election from Gore who actually won?

What is your interest in doing that? What was the interest of the US media in dropping this important historical event and the Dem Party who requested that we all 'move on' and forget the treason?

I'd love to know the answer to that question.

Everything Ralph says is spot on.

17. My dear abluelady, did you finish the book, and was it worth reading?
I can see that you got no real answer as to whether it was worth reading, and I am close to that book on my long list of "to read" books. So, what did you think?

And to the people who just don't like him, I don't care what you personally think of Nader or his opinions. Since this is supposed to be a novel, I am only interested in whether it is worth the read.

19. I Didn't Read It
I was only interested in his as a worthwhile read, as you stated. I couldn't get into it. I try to give a book fifty pages, but I couldn't give this one even that small amount. Too many books, too little time. If you read it and do like it, please me know and I'll try again. Thanks.

18. who wrote it?
Edited on Sun Sep-26-10 10:31 PM by pitohui
if a book has a celeb's name on it, the celeb didn't write it

these days i am NOT gonna give my time and attention to "branded" stuff, every penny i give to a book by Famous Person (really ghost written by unknown person) is a dollar taken away from the chances of a new person being able to publish and tell a new story under a new name

i'll be honest, i didn't even known nader was still alive, but i'm not interesting in reading a book by some ghostwriter for a 90 year old...

And he's more than capable of writing his own books. :eyes:
