Gregg Hurwitz, THE KILL CLAUSE
I liked this book. A few chapters dragged a bit here or there but it kept me absorbed, especially the 2nd half of the book (380 pp). It has an O'Henry type ending, I think. Like a huge puzzle that fit together very well, except for one tiny piece that I hope will be in a sequel.

Tim Rackley, deputy U. S. Marshal in LA is a hero and I like quite a few of the characters - his wife, coworkers, and bosses. I have the next book in the series and honestly don't know if I should stick with Tim, or visit Robicheaux in New Orleans (Burke) or return to Minnesota to see what's up with Cork O'Connor (Krueger), as I just picked up both of these series books from the library today.

Tim kept me from watching the convention most of the day. Just now turned on the TV.

1. 2nd book - THE PROGRAM
I just finished THE PROGRAM, and it was very good.

Tim Rackley, U. S. Deputy Marshal - in this one too.

Although I hate books about cults, this one comes at it from a different approach with a pretty good ending.

Give these two books a try. I'm sure you'll like them.
