4. Cool...a book nerd like me.
He's the guy who wrote the book Fight Club, you may have seen the movie. He's got maybe nine novels of fiction and one non-fiction that I know of. I think probably my favorite would be Lullaby, or Survivor (nothing to do with the idiotic TV series). He's got kind of a cult following and you can find out a lot about him on line. I find what he writes difficult to classify. I imagine some would call it mystery or horror or some other label. I don't much like labels when it comes to matters of taste or art.

Tell me, what do you like to read? That would tell me much about if you and Chuck are a good fit.

9. I didn't read the book but did like the movie though it was violent IIRC.
I like crime mysteries, or any kind of mystery, not much into horror. I like just about anything that is reality-based.

12. The movie was better than the book.
However, "Fight Club" is far from his best work. I prefer "Survivor," "Rant," "Lullabye," and "Diary."

11. Or Lullaby.
A culling song used in Africa used to relive painless death to the old or infirmed. Imagine the lyrics of that culling song stuck in the head of an overwhelmed and guilt ridden reporter. Actually, it's a lot funnier than it sounds. And oh yeah, there is a real estate agent and her wicken assistant. Again, in many ways, a funny and wonderful book.

13. I've read Fight Club of course, and Survivor
Survivor is very cool, the book is basically about a guy who is in a cult (think Amish people with a death wish) that has formed a suicide pact. The cult sends its members out to work in the real world and send money back to the cult but the main thing is that they're all sworn to kill themselves when the leader of the cult announces it. So eventually the call goes out to die, and the main character chooses not to. So he's the last remaining cult member alive, he becomes a media celebrity, gets into mass marketing fitness, becomes a steroid freak, but the pressure of it all overwhelms him. He hijacks a plane, lets all the passengers off, and flies around the Pacific ocean till it crashes.

The book counts down page numbers from like 350-1, backwards.
