2. I don't know. What would you consider "The Odyssey" fiction?

4. Yes, but
I tend to browse non-fiction, not read it cover-to-cover. I usually read non-fiction because I'm looking for specific information, or am curious about something. It's not recreational reading for me, and it doesn't generally lead to online discussions.

I don't think anyone at DU really cares about the technical stuff in my professional books, and if I wanted to discuss the info in a "how to" type non-fiction, I would be inundated with anonymous experts to create a sea of confusing contradictory advice.

Happily, there is a non-fiction forum for ya, though!

5. Biographies
I read biogaphies of famous people I admire. I have a great biography of the Bee Gees. I also read books on astral projection, although some may consider those fiction, as they don't believe that astral projection is real.
