From "thirteen moons" by Charles Frazier. This being his second novel - (the first, "Cold Mountain") was a joy to read. His account of the European 'settlement' of America is startling in the manner seen from the perception of the indigenous people. Frazier hits another 'bullseye' with this novel.

1. It sounds good, Bullwinkle925. I may check into this one.
And a great question, too.

I'd opt for some version of Creational praise, probably with a lower-case 'C', but one which would involve -- faced with death on the morrow -- physical intimacies, favorite music, and a garden walk, just for starters.

6. I'm afraid I would spend some of that little time I had left
and curse God. It's just the way I am.

8. i can multi task
i think most of us can and will do both quite effectively, this is what life itself is all about, is it not?

the person who never curses god is a ninny who has never felt deep pain, the person who has never praised creation is a ninny who has never experienced deep beauty

the full life entails doing both before you die in my humble opinion
