6. What an arrogant bastard
That does not constitute a victory, considering especially that Nevada is going our way anyway. He can't declare victory when there is nothing to be declared. That could seriously backfire on him.

7. He might as well declare victory in Iraq while he is at it
It would make about as much sense.

Doing it prematurely, as usual. It's a wonder he ever managed to become a father.

10. He already declared victory, even though Nevada and N.M.
are still up in the air, not to mention Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio. We may not know the results from those last two, for days. But this is typical, based on his behavior in 2000. I joked to someone, earlier today, that if Kerry won, would Bush* leave? Now, it's not so funny. The same question was put to Al Sharpton and he said that he had the manpower to escort Bush* from The White House. We may need to take him up on it.:-(

12. Hey don't feel so glum, our guys haven't conceded a thing
This is why you put lawyers up for your candidates, they never concede nothing. Edwards is turning out to be a fighter and has got Johns back covered :kick:

16. They would never
trot John Edwards out there to make that statement if there wasn't something to fight for. It ain't over.

18. Ohio is far from decided. It could be a couple of weeks.
Iowa will definitely not be decided, tonight. And there may be recounts. Thanks for saying it's not over. There's the three of us and CBS.

17. Thank you! Most everybody I know is scared and ready to give up
And thinking that this result is just unbelievable. I am still hanging in there, listening to Dan Rather, who seems to be the last network anchor who will not concede anything. Edwards was a brilliant choice for Kerry. I felt that as soon as he was announced, since he brought much needed warmth to the ticket. But he may bring even more. Kerry was a prosecutor and Edwards, a trial lawyer. I hope that this serves us well. Bush* has declared victory, even though the results are from decided. This scares me. I joked to a friend, earlier today, about how we could get Bush* to leave when Kerry won. I guess that this wasn't much of a joke, after all. Bush* is repeating his behavior of 2000. Thanks for giving me hope. I am loathe to give up, but have felt pretty depressed, like my absent friends.;(

20. President-elect Kerry.
Do NOT give up. Don't assume that we will lose, or even that losing is possible.

President-elect Kerry. Refer to the Democratic candidate that way from now on, in casual conversation, online, or whatever. President-elect Kerry.

Come on. You KNOW the Democrats won the ACTUAL vote, and so does the rest of the world. Republicans have been working overtime for months, disenfranchising voters. They have shown in the past that they will GLADLY circumvent the obvious truth to get what they want.

But if they can warp reality with their lies, WE can WARP IT BACK with the truth. If they can ignore real evidence and declare Bush the winner, why can't we ignore false evidence and declare Kerry the winner? We don't even have to stoop to their level, we just have to show a greater conviction that they do. And that should be easy. We have the truth on our side.

President-elect Kerry. Make sure EVERY Democrat refers to him that way, and if someone refutes it, CORRECT them.

We've had lies forced down our throats for four years. If you don't want four more years of the same, force the TRUTH down their throats for a change.

21. Sounds good to me. Before this devastating night, I was truly ready
to believe it. Thanks for giving me hope. Should I give you the names of some of my terrified friends, so you can encourage them to come out from under their beds?! This is really scary, as you must know, even for us true believers and conspiracy theorists. I am the former, but not sure, yet, if I'm the latter. I just trusted that John Kerry would have to win, and now am just really scared that he won't, possibly because the corrupt powers-that-be would prevent it, regardless of the results of the election. I now believe that they convinced the majority of the American people that their lies were true. I can think of no other explanation that makes sense.
