Daschle has been a terrible minority leader.

We need somebody with a spine.

6. Daschle's Karma
Remember the scene in F9/11 in which activist members of Congress tried to get Congress to consider a challenge to Bush's appointment? And they couldn't get one member of the Senate, not one, to support their challenge? Where was Daschle? Wasn't he the leader of the Senate Dems at that time? Now the tables are turned. Daschle is losing by a hair, and no one is going to help him. What goes around comes around.

9. dont forget
they only sent weaponized anthrax to his office from army’s Fort Detrick. anthrax spores enclosed in envelopes mailed to two leading Senate Democrats both Senators Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy. think about that when you realize why he was bush's poodle for the last 4 yrs.

8. The bright side
Maybe Democrats will be smart enough to have a minority leader who is safe from the GOP and will have the balls to stand up to them.

Or maybe I am just being optimistic....silly me.

...has 99% of precincts in and Thune up by 8000. Since 1% of the total # of voters would be around 4k, I'm guessing that Thune has it in the bag by a good bit.
