Anyone see this? FBI agents raid East St Louis City Hall
Edited on Wed Nov-24-04 12:39 PM by verdalaven
Sorry if this is a dupe. I just found it.

The raid yesterday came less than a week after several local Democratic leaders were summoned to appear before a federal grand jury.

A copy of a subpoena served to one Democratic committeeman ordered him to bring all financial records related to November Second election.

Not much more there. I was wondering if anyone knew more about this.

I found more information

3. ESL vote is under probe
FBI agents served subpoenas Tuesday to key Democrats in East St. Louis, ordering them to appear before a grand jury to answer how they spent money in the Nov. 2 election.

--

The subpoena also stated "this investigation of possible violations of federal criminal laws includes your conduct during the Nov. 2, 2004, election in East St. Louis." It was dated last Wednesday and was signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Hal Goldsmith.

Now why can the FBI find the bad apple Dems but not one Repub?

4. I can't believe this crap
I agree why can't they figure out what the rep are doing, but they think they have got one bad democratic office. I am quite sure that this will be all over the news, unlike our fraud story
