KERRY & OHIO RECOUNT MAKES WASHINGTON POST
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A8580-2004Nov23.html

Excerpt:

The Kerry campaign said it intends to monitor the proceedings for irregularities. "We didn't ask for it," said Dan Hoffheimer, the campaign's legal counsel. "But since it's apparently going to happen, we want to make sure it gets done right."

2. spinal transplant
now, that's what i call backbone...

"We didn't ask for it," said Dan Hoffheimer, the campaign's legal counsel. "But since it's apparently going to happen, we want to make sure it gets done right."

if they knew how to do it right, there wouldn't need to be a recount...
if they knew how to do it right, why didn't they just elbow everyone aside instead of waiting until the clock ticked down to the final two minutes.

sheesh. this is gonna be another one of those days.

3. Sheesh...
That ending is especially vile with the quote from Blackwell's representative. Nice to see it made the Post, but we need to pursue this completely. Movements need to be made to discredit Bush and move toward impeachment in the event that this does not pan out, or we can kiss our sweet democracy goodbye. It's as simple as that people.

5. I would love Impeachment, actually Imprisonment, but how?
Am I missing something? With the House being GOP controlled, how can impeachment even be feasible? Please let me know how this could be done.

7. That's what I'm afraid of, too.
We at least need to raise enough of a ruckus that we can raise the consciousness of the American public. We're still so, in general, complacent. We need to wake up or our democracy will be gone and in place of it, we'll have a fascist, dangerous, delusional dictatorship.

9. the media keeps telling the "public" that they are glad that the
election is over and that all and all it went smoothly.
And for the most part--most people believe the media!!

10. That's the point! 80% believe that the election was fair
and yes, it's because the media, and jelly-spined Dem pundits told them that.

Remember how many people believed the lies of WMDs in Iraq? Remember how many people believed that Iraq was connected to 9/11? That's because the Media was complicit with this administration in hiding the Truth.

Once the Media opened up to those issues, minds opened up as well.

11. Umm, many of those same gullible people still believe the connection
Until Fox is exposed, until CNN is exposed, people just won't "get it."

We need to convince people that the Internet is the source for credible reporting by people who see it happening in front of their eyes. Why trust reporters who make hundreds of thousands of dollars and act like prima donnas?

The Internet is the truth the media does not want you to know.

14. How did they get "80%"...by 'exit polling'?!
Please, there was NO 80% approval poll ever taken. ONLY Rovian and MSM spin.
Come on, we're smarter than that!

15. I think we already have facist, dangerous, delusional dictatorship...
and the democracy is well on its way toward the sunset at the horizon. Ruckus is a good sounding word.

What sort of ruckus are you making?

I've contacted my state election monitor(who is the chair and CEO of a voter integrity org) and am e-mailing back and forth with this person to get updated on what has been done locally and statewide.

I will write to my Senators as soon as I can get a letter together, but I want it to be a strong letter, so I am going to craft it carefully.

I also keep an e-mail election list of about 15-20 people updated and energized pretty much on a daily basis.

That's what I am doing thus far.

JD
