13. Exactly - given US Media and GOP Control and no paper trail or sample
Edited on Tue Nov-23-04 01:23 PM by papau
recounts in every state to control the inventive local GOP folks,

Did we really have an election?

If exit polls show the Ukraine did not have a valid election, how does the same exit poll problem mean we really had an election?

As the fellow from the Ukraine's equivalent of the GOP said "80% of the people just want to get their next paycheck and to be told by our media that they had an election"

"A few folks in only a few cities is something time will take care of -If not, we will note the revolution being attempted and stop it"

(the translation is rough - but I believe accurate - indeed if you transcribe when he speaks in English I believe you will find the above is a pretty good paraphrase of what he says! :-) )

6. By "over" do you mean, "finished?"
Or "over the top?" Maybe "over easy?"

Only if you want it to be. Apathy is our enemy.

9. I don't believe so.
Unfortunately nobody can "give it to you straight," because we're really all just going by our gut feelings and best estimates, building on the information that's available to us. So I'll hedge a little and say "I don't believe it's quite over."

I hate to encourage false hopes, least of all my own, because I don't think I could take another Nov-3-style crash - but every time I read about the recounts and legal challenges in progress, I get this prickly feeling that something's still coming down the pipeline. Stay tuned....

17. Not by a long shot!
 When all 50 states have certified the results and all challenges have been addressed and the Electoral College has met and voted.........then we'll talk about the concept of "over"! :)
