Florida Election Law overview
If someone else has more details, share 'em... but here’s some stuff I ran across in regards to Florida election law:

http://jurist.law.pitt.edu/election/electionfaqold1.htm

The election can be contested if someone – a voter or candidate – suspects fraud.

If the election is considered to have “failed” and no clear winner is chosen, the Florida legislature can decide which slate of electors is sent.

If no electors are chosen and the current president’s term expires, the speaker of the house becomes president.

If Kerry can show fraud occurred and that he was the rightful winner, then he can lay claim to the electoral votes. If he shows fraud but not by enough to win, then it seems like he would still lose – but the federal government would investigate and charge the culprits. (It’s not worded well enough to know whether this is a loophole or not.)

For some interesting US historical presidential election problems and/or fraud, look here:

(We might assume these situations are unique to our day and age, but they’re not. This crap happens all the time. I didn’t realize that there were allegations of fraud in many elections, as well as investigations – I guess I’m a little naïve.)

2. They would go to prison for that.
If there is even the chance of fraud,it is illegal for them to do that. PRISON...

3. there's a time limit on any contest of either Tuesday or Wednesday
though so if it's going to happen it has to happen soon.

5. might be easier to try to prove machine anomalies.mistakes than fraud at
this point in time though. It seems to me that the Berkley study should at least go some direction towards doing that
