Please tell me that Alliance for Democracy has a separate recount ...

I got a call from a Dem who can listen to Air America (I can't) who said Rhandi was telling people to donate to Alliance for Democracy.org for the Ohio recount.

Problem- Alliance is a 501c3

I called them and talked to a very nice but not up on the complexities person, who referred me to a lawyer in Ohio who is handling this. Of course, not available right now.

Have they got a separate organization set up yet? Donations going into the Alliance 501c3 are not going to be able to be used for recounts.

As explained elswhere by Eloriel, 501c3's cannot contribute to recounts. That's why Heddafoil and Bev had the www.helpamericarecount.org set up, it's a 527 and donations are not tax deductible.

Anyone got more information this?

I don't care who collects the donated money it's all going for the right purpose but I don't want to see money sent places where it can't be used for the intended purpose.
